Creative Workshops at our North Wales Creative Retreat
To get your creative juices flowing, we have a variety of sessions planned for our retreat in Corwen. A scrapbooking session where you can create your own artwork from maps, nature magazines and literary articles collected over the years. Scrapbooking will be available throughout the whole retreat so you are welcome to keep progressing your art during your stay.
Nic Brownlie, co-owner of Bron-Y-Graig is going to be hosting a writing workshop Characters Through Seasons. An opportunity to immerse yourself in storytelling and create your own character.
Immerse yourself in a Sound Bath hosted by Ellie Storey from Ground Up Wellness. Ellie is local to Corwen and will be providing a healing session through the art of sound. Promoting relaxation, stress reduction and a meditative state through soothing frequencies and physical sensations.
Ellie is also available throughout the retreat for massages at a special Roaming Writer price, when you book with us!
Choose from:
- Holistic Massage – a Swedish style relaxing, light to medium pressure massage, carried out on a massage bed.
- Ayurvedic Yoga Massage – an Indian bodywork treatment to relax and energise. Combining deep tissue massage therapy with assisted yoga-based stretching and the application of Ayurvedic calamus powder to warm muscles and stimulate blood flow, carried out on a mattress on the floor.
- Deep Tissue Massage – holistic massage but with more pressure, targeted towards relieving areas of tension, carried out on a massage bed.

Kelly Gimson will be sharing her knowledge by hosting a workshop on Foraging for Botanical Inks. These will then be used to create a piece of work from ingredients we have foraged together.
Our friend Holly Marshgreen is returning to host a session on Forest Bathing. A true chance to connect with nature, reduce cognitive overload and enhance your creativity.

For those of you who enjoy cold water immersion or for those who want to try it out, we will also head out to a local ancient well for an optional cold dipping session. These are just a few of the sessions we’re excited to offer at our North Wales Creative Retreat, more workshops are to be confirmed.
All guests are invited to share their craft with the group if they’d like to! Whether you’ve hosted before or want to try something new, this is an open space for creativity.
If you would like to host your own workshop, please get in touch.
